Today I want you to meet Gabby. I had the pleasure of one of my last sessions of summer being Gabby’s Senior Portrait Session. Bubbly, giggly, and outgoing are the words that come to mind when I think about this young woman. She has a heart of gold and is an amazing babysitter (just ask my boys! They LOVE her!). Gabby is a senior at Kellam High School, and her extracurricular activities include soccer and swim/dive team. She also has plans to volunteer at Sentara before going to college the fall!
Working with Gabby for her senior portraits was such a fun experience!! She’s so sweet and happy!! And a total natural in front the camera!!
I asked Gabby whether she had any advice to offer others who were getting ready to take senior pictures. This is what she had to share: “Be as natural as possible because being true to who you are will show in the pictures; whether you are bubbly, quirky, or feisty. You’ll look your best with your natural beauty and attitude. Wear clothes that you are comfortable in and think would look cute 10 years down the road.
Having your hair and makeup professionally done for your shoot is a great idea!! And it’s fun to splurge on yourself a little!! Professionally done makeup photographs so well and let’s be honest – fake lashes are FUN!! Gabby’s hair was done by her mom who is a stylist at The Dry House Virginia Beach. Her hair was GORGEOUS the day of her shoot!! It fit her style perfectly!!
When chatting with Gabby about locations for her session, the beach was a MUST! She loves the beach and feels at home there. Gabby also felt that be beach was a great setting for the white dress she chose. She said “white symbolizes purity, freshness, and new beginnings, just like going into college is a new beginning for me.”
After high school Gabby plans to attend TCC for their nursing program and transfer to ODU to finish her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Best of luck to you Gabby!! I know you’ll do amazing things!!
